I went into the tank for the second time on the weekend. My first float i could only do 15 minutes because of my balance problems. But this time, I don't know how I did it, but I managed to stay in for 1.5 hours. Once the water settled from getting into the tank, my body began to relax. It's dark, completely quiet, and you can't feel the water around you. As my body relaxed, it started twitching, which is a release of tension / stress in the body. As I allowed myself to let go, and just concentrate on the now, the present, not about yesterday or tomorrow, or what I have to do later, I started feeling like my body was becoming flatter, thinner. My mind started settling, and I was feeling like I was part of the water around me. I started feeling like my mind was going into a calmer place, almost sleeping, but not sleeping. I wasn't able to go deeper before my 1.5 hours was finished. I wanted to stay longer, but there comes a point where the tank tells you "that's all for now, come back later" Now that I know I can stay in the float tank longer, I am going to concentrate on my health issues, Fibromyalgia and Myofascial pain for now, by using visualization.
That is great, we are glad you were able to come and float for longer. We hope you can make it to more floats and track your results. Take care and well wishes.
Floatation Therapy Winnipeg.
I experienced my first float therapy last night. It was amazing! Now that I know what to expect, the next one can only be better.
I have been dealing with fibromyalgia and chronic myofascial pain for many years. Other than the pain, I have a great problem with sleeping. After my relaxing float last night, I went home and within 2 hours, I actually had to go to bed. I was asleep within 10 minutes. This has not happened in years. My husband was totally amazed and concerned. So, his turn not to sleep! Lol.
You can't put a price on this kind of feeling! I will be telling my doctor about this incredible experience.
Thank you Elisabeth and Roi. And a very big thank you to Lorelei for introducing me to this!
We are so happy about the post float results! We hope the feeling remains and hope you feel relaxed!
It is not an "Out of Body Experience", rather a "Body out of the way.. experience".
